It's all in the Details

I have been designing and single handedly building this cottage over a period of more than thirty years. Graduating from U.C.Berkeley in 1975 with a masters degree in architecture, I returned to Toronto and immediately started renovating the small (480 sq. ft.) family cottage; and, committed to a building programme that has never really ended. The result is an idiosyncratic design with a light filled interior that has a visceral connection to the out of doors. It displays a casual refinement and an attention to detail rarely found in cottages of this modest scale.
